Munger family papers, 1791-1950.

Correspondence and other papers of the Munger family. Begins with many letters to Louisa Munger Shaw from her brother, Cheney Munger. Sarah Munger's academic work is included, as are sermons and other papers of Rev. Washington Munger. Earlier material is from Massachusetts, but later Rev. Munger served in Eastern Connecticut. Account books, diaries, church records, and deeds are also in the collection. One of Sarah Munger's journals is from her time at the Connecticut Normal School in New Britain. Two copies of Elisha Stevens' Fragments of Memoranda from the War of the Revolution may be found as well.
